BBSGC News

Evening all,

Now to last Sundays game at Bayview. This was our smallest turn out for the year with just 16 players available to play. Serious overnight rain had us wondering how the course was going to hold up. As it happens it held up remarkably well. It was in pretty good condition with great greens and no surface water to bother us.

I commented before the game that with just 16 player and the top 15 all getting points in the point score competition that you would have to play pretty badly to miss out. Well I did. I managed to claim the honour of being the only player to miss out. And I’ve got to say I completely deserved that honour.

Playing a par event plusses were hard to come by with just one player finishing with a positive score. Well done to Steve who took out the day with a plus 3. Crawford was next best with an all square round followed by Slats with a minus 1. Nearest the pins were won by Gary and Werner with no one claiming the 50 ball jackpot on the  fairly straight forward 110 meter  8th.

Our next game will be at Long Reef on November 11 at 7 am. This game will be the final of the club championship after the washout at Wakehurst. It is also the gold medal playoff game. All silver medallists will be in the running. We have had 14 different winners this year so it should be quite a battle.

The players contesting the gold medal match are Ian Prohm, Werner, Bill Walburn, Rob Langer, Phil, Martin, Adam Preston, Charles, Henry, Paul, Slats, Gary, Rob Preston and Steve.

Good luck to all involved.

The updated point score has been attached.

We do currently only have 16 names on the list so get yourself up to the club on Thursday night and put your name down and support the club on raffle night.

Jason.
