Afternoon all,
What a great day at Shelly Beach today. Perfect weather and fairways in superb condition. The greens were considerably slower than Mona Vale but still in good nick.
Today we played for the Bodega cup which clearly is on of the most popular games of the year. We had 30 names down but only 28 available places. A huge thanks to Steve who volunteered to stand down to ensure the rest of us got a game. A very generous act from our president.
The game itself was very tight at the top with just 2 points separating the top 5 teams. Dan and John combined brilliantly for a score of 42 points. Not bad considering they scored 32 and 25. Great team work. They beat Werner and Phillip on a countback. 3rd place went to Alex and myself on 41 ahead of Adam and Slats also on 41. Hard luck for Adam considering he scored 40 points on his own.
Individually Adam claimed the silver medal with his 40 points ahead of matt on 39 and Ian Redfearn on 38.
Nearest the pins went to Rob Langer on the 4th and matt on the 10th.
Longest drive in A grade was won by Ian Redfearn, B grade by Rob Preston ( 3 wood ) and C grade by Phillip.
Our next game is on at Long Reef on April 8. See you all there.
Jason.
