BBSGC News

Hi lads,

Members of the great BBSGC

Today we bravely ventured to The Springs through pea soup fog and the swirling perils that lay  between the moisture laden clouds hanging lowly over the course.

All the ponds were pretty full, no carts, so out for a walk and given the amount of rain they have had the curse was in splendid nick.

Changers abounded to the point we ended up with 5 teams of 4 to battle out the 2019 Memorial Shield

The team of Captain Richard ( back from the old dart)Evans, Paul (Tweedle Dee) Stracey, Les (Tweedle Dum) Andrews &  Ian( I got this covered) Prohm scooped 5th place with a team score of 63 7/8

Fourth place was swallowed up by the oldest group in total years on the course of Keith (how much is it today Alex) Chapple,  Ian ( Mr Cool) Salatanay, Derek (thought I would pop in) Pugh, And old grumbles himself  Joycey with a resounding score of 63 ½

The money spots begin with the team of captain Matt ( you are a Reg Hunt) Brown, Gary (finesse) Bender, Francis(he came back) Child (visitor) & the oldest living, breathing  member of our club  Bill(who said that) Walburn  coming in 3rd with a score of 61 3/8

Second place to a brilliantly managed team ( by me of course) Alex Greig, Werner(the big plus) Betschart, Roger (captain titanium) De potere  and   Adam(the kid) Baker   with a score of 58 ½

The winners though with a score of 58 ¼, yes in by .25  were led by Captain  Dave Burgess  with Martina Alberts, Daniel (I wish I could hit a fairway)Page & Rob (the hammer)Langer.

Congratulations boys on making the outside of the memorial shield, well played I say.

Nearest the pins Keith Chapple   5th
