Evening fellow golfers.
Well it would seem the golf course was the winner today. Not one player managed to hit 36 points.
The greens were slick and the course was playing quite long off the white tees. It was in brilliant condition as usual but things all round were set up for some half decent scores. Not to be.
Our average score today was just 26.5 Not a great day. There was however some decent play out there today. Henry hit a winning score of 35 points. Not bad off a handicap of 14. He was followed by Alex on 33 points. A pretty good day out. Third place was taken out by an ever consistent Les on 31.
The rest of the top 15 scored between 30 and 25 points with 8 players scoring either 27 or 26 points.
Nearest the pins were taken out by Slats on the 5th and Ian Redfearn on the 16.
We have the Travellers cup coming up in 2 weeks at Hawks Nest. We have 14 starters so far. Can you please let me know if you would like to come along. I’m sure there are a few spots left.
The next club game is at Bayview on the 17th June. That will be the last chance to qualify for the club championship.

There is still a chance for almost anyone to make it with a decent round.
