Evening Golfers,
We were greeted with pretty cold and windy conditions on Sunday at Bayview Golf Club. Combined with very slick greens its no wonder we had only 2 players better their handicap. We had an average score of just 27.75 for the day. Not the greatest day out as a club.
We were playing a 2 ball multiplier. There were some pretty low team scores. None lower than the first group of the day who came in with scores of just 15 and 28. Sad to say I was a main contributor to one of those poor scores. Bill Young was also part of the group but more than made up for a low score with one of the finest lunches put on at the club in many a day. Thanks Bill. Absolutely sensational.
There were some good scores on the day. Paul Stracey and Ian Salatnay combined to win the day with 60 points ahead of Bill Walburn and David Ineson on 58 and Ian Prohm and Crawford Linton on 57.
Only 1 nearest the pin was taken out with Ian Prohm taking it out on the 16th.
Individually Paul won the Gold medal on 37 points ahead of Gary also on 37.
This was the final round to qualify for the club championship. The current point score is attached.
If you are in the top 16 can you let me know if you are available for all of the club championship games. They will be played on July 29, August 26, September 16 and October 14. If you will not be available for all 4 dates please let me know so we can adjust the top 16.
