BBSGC News

Afternoon Gentlemen and for the first time Lady.

A warm welcome was given to our two guests from the UK today. John and Caroline were a pleasure to play with and thoroughly enjoyed their game. They both played well but it was Caroline who won our group with 32 points. Well played.

The course was in as good a condition as always. We were again blessed with a cooler day after another hot week.

We had some pretty good scoring today with the average score just short of 34 points. 10 of 20 players in the comp scored 36 or better.

We had a fairly popular winner today. Well done Alex. 42 points. (blind squirrel etc.) What a game. Expectations will now be high for the rest of the year. Rob Langer played brilliantly as well with 41 as did Paul with 40. Considering we only had 5 players last year to beat 40 points its pretty impressive to have 3 players do it today.

Nearest the pins were won today by Warren on the 2nd and Bill on the 7th. The jackpot of 12 balls went off today to our guest John. Great shot. Deserved a birdie.

Our next game is in 2 weeks on Feb 3 at 7 am at Wakehurst. If your names not on the list log onto the website or drop me a line and I’ll get your name down.

Attached are the current standings in the point score  trophy and the captains trophy.
