BBSGC News

Afternoon fellow golfers.

We had a last minute reshuffle due to COVID restrictions, but thankfully we managed to field a full complement of 20 at Wakehurst yesterday.

The weather was much the same as it had been for the last few days – gloomy and wet.

It made the going tough for many and having the white markers a fair way back did not really help either.

It was very wet underfoot and many bunkers were out of play – although I seemed to find the ones that were not.

Only the winner managed to hit 36 points. Well done Les Andrews

2nd place was Adam Baker, followed by Jason Pugh and Paul Stracey

Our average score was just 23.5  Not a great day for some.

There was only one Nearest the pin winner, which was taken out by Carl Walker trickling his ball onto the green on the 13th.

The Jackpot was not won – although at least a few people managed to give it a nudge and hit the green.

Thankfully the Club house and Club Belrose had re-opened specially for us and we were able to enjoy a few beers and some general banter once again.

The next game is at Long Reef on the 24th January.
