A magnificent day at Mona Vale last Sunday. The course was certainly at its best. The fairways were close to perfect and the greens were incredibly slick. Playing off the blue markers made scoring tough for some but others seemed to cope well with the set up. We had an average score on the day of 28.7. that’s pretty respectable I think given the speed of the greens and the near impossible pin placings on some holes.

It was semi final day for the club championships. Bob cruised to an 8 and 7 win over Steve and Warren edged out Carl 3 and 2. Well played Bob and Warren  and commiserations Steve and Carl. The final will be played in 4 weeks at Long Reef.

The winner of the day this week on an amazing 40 points was Leigh. This was Leigh’s first game with us with an official handicap and he smashed the field. 2nd place went to Rob Langer on 36 who beat Paul on a countback. We had 8 other players break 30 points which I think was a pretty fair effort.

Nearest the pins went to Phil on the 2nd and Paul on the 16th. The jackpot was claimed again by Henry on the 8th.

Our next game isn’t until November 8 at Long Reef.  Let me know if you want your name down.
